One of my goals with the blog is to pass along some fun things I have come across, quotes that have challenged me, and other links that you may find interesting. Here is round one. Enjoy!

In The Arena by David Prince: Honestly, this book was a breath of fresh air and an answer to prayer. I have been searching up and down to find someone who could biblically, thoughtfully, and practically speak into the beauty of sports in our culture and why they can be an important aspect of discipleship for Christians. I will end up blogging about this book over time, but until then…go ahead and get on that train and purchase it.

IMB Missions Photo Bank: The International Missions Board has compiled an amazing resource of photos from all over the world, highlighting certain people groups and cities across the globe. This is a fantastic resource, especially for social media use. Just make sure to give them a shoutout on the photo cred.

10 Disciplines of a Godly Pastor: I stumbled across this blog post after coming across the link over at Gospel Centered Families. A fantastic read for those of us in the trenches of ministry.

A Few Quotes:

Thought this was a great reminder to take the gifts that God has given me as a follower of Jesus and use them for God’s kingdom and pray for maximum impact.

“As a coach, I care less about your potential and more about what you do with it. The world is full of gifted under-achievers. Don’t waste your gift.”-Craig Harp

I thought the quote below was ON POINT and should be tattooed on the dashboard of every parents car as a reminder of what kind of conversations they’re having with their kids to and from the game/practice.

“Your child’s success or lack of success in sports does not indicate what kind of parent you are. But having an athlete that is coachable, respectful, a great teammate, mentally tough, resilient and gives 100% effort IS a direct reflection of your parenting.”
